It's BACK!!!! One of my favorite days of the year, the Cookie Carousel at St. Thomas More Church in Manhattan, Ks will be held on Saturday, Dec. 7th, 2023! In the last couple of days, 1000s of cookies have been arriving at St. Thomas More Church in Manhattan, KS. Every year there is a highlighted cookie and I can't wait to see what they have this year!
The event starts at 9 am, but get there early to get in line, and will last until 11 am or when the cookies run out. As you enter the hall you are provided with a container to fill as you peruse the tables of ALL the cookies that have been donated!
Cookies by the pound
Once you have selected the perfect cookies and sweets, you head to the cash register. They will weigh your cookies, and you pay by the pound. Once you have your total, you check out and either pop them in the freezer or be like me and dig in before I leave the parking lot!
This event is one of the many reasons that I love this town. All the cookies you see at the Cookie Carousel are donated by parishioners and the proceeds are donated to various local charities. Not that I NEED a reason to buy cookies, but I can't think of a better reason to buy cookies than charity!!
