There are just those places where as soon as you walk in, you instantly feel welcomed like you have been going there forever. When I walked into Manhattan Brewing Company that is instantly what I felt! Manhattan Brewing Company opened its doors in 2020 in Downtown Manhattan, KS. With over 20 years of combined experience, the owners, Jake Voegeli, Garrett Paulman, and Adam Krebsbach are definitely leaving their mark on not only the craft beer scene in Manhattan, KS but also the Manhattan community!
Manhattan Brewing Company's craft beer options seem to be endless and on constant rotation, but one that has been a long-time favorite is the Tasty IPA! Tasty IPA is one of six original beers brewed, the name is an ode to Paulman because this pale ale is just simply a really tasty beer! The Townie, is also another favorite in our house, this wheat brewed beer with citrus hops is pretty tasty as well if you ask us!
Manhattan Brewing Company opened in 2020 and has been brewing up some amazing craft beers ever since. With menu offering constantly changing, Tasty IPA and Dolly Save the World have been two of my favorites!
The ever-changing offerings at the brewery sometimes depend on the season or current partnerships with other local businesses. In the fall, there is a pumpkin pie craft beer brewed with Little Batch Bakery Pumpkin Pies! Then, another local favorite, the Varsity Donuts Bacon Maple Long John has also provided a fun twist on flavors from these Manhattan Brewers with their Varsity Maple Bacon Donut Stout!
You will also find, beers marking new beginnings in town, like "Tang Party." Tang Party was brewed to welcome the new Kansas State University Men's Basketball coach, Jerome Tang. Or, fun with beloved celebrities like Dolly Parton and their Dolly Save the World. This sour-fruit-flavored masterpiece is obviously another favorite of mine, and I can't wait for this to come back into the rotation! I mean, you can't go wrong with Dolly!

Looking to rock some MBC pride in purple, they have you covered! Want to show your love for the Chiefs and Manhattan Brewing Company, don't worry, they have several to choose from! Need a new koozie, take your pick! I have given them as gifts and unintentionally started my own MBC personal collection from koozies to shirts, hats, and even a few stickers!

It is also a spot I recommend to people when they ask about unique places in town that are must-go places. Interested in joining an unconventional book club, join the MBC Banned Book Club. Looking for that ever illusive "balance" in your life, head down for a Yoga session and also enjoy a beer! Planning a night out and want to do something different? You will find a variety of events at MBC from Jack Reid Magic Show, comedy night, open mic night, Speed Dating, Drag Bingo, trivia, Air Guitar contest, local food trucks, and more throughout the year!
The best part, well I saved that for last! The atmosphere at Manhattan Brewing Company is unmatched. You realize almost instantly that you are somewhere that passion, friendship and a shared vision are building. As soon as you walk in you see the bar area and the amazing marquee sign displaying their current libations. Then you place your order and grab a table, maybe even help yourself to some board games, or order some snacks and admire the brew tanks and relax. Then you realize the people surrounding you, the people always make the difference, and here you realize everyone is here because they are happy to be. Special places are not easy to find. If you haven't been, I think it goes without saying, you have to!
