Freedom Fest in Junction City, KS will have live music, a Freedom Run, Vendors, Carnival, Freedom Parade, fireworks, and more!

This event formally known as the Sundown Salute began in Milford, KS. A decision this year has that event moving back to where it all began in Milford, KS, and being replaced on the 4th of July weekend with Freedom Fest in Junction City, KS. The Sundown Salute will be held over Labor Day weekend so stay tuned for more information on that. Now back to what you came here for, information on Freedom Fest in Junction City, KS!

Freedom Fest will light up the sky with a Fireworks Extravaganza on July 4th!

Freedom Fest in Junction City, KS is a 5-day event that kicks off July 3rd with the Freedom Fest Carnival. The music on opening night is Get Lucky a Tribute to Loverboy and Revelation a Tribute to Journey. Then Thursday, July 4th kicks things off at 7:30 am with the Freedom Run followed by the Freedom Parade at 10 am. The carnival starts at noon!

At 12:30 pm there will be a Veteran's Ceremony followed by many other events. This year, at 3 pm Kansas City Helicopter Tours will offer helicopter rides. Music on the 4th will be Best of Motown and More followed by Arena Rock Giants and then at 10 pm the big show, the fireworks extravaganza.

On July 5th activities begin at 11 am with vendors opening at 11:30 am. If you missed the helicopter rides the day before, you have another chance on Friday. The Pompeyo Family and Their Amazing Dogs will be performing, with a show in the morning and the evening. Then the musical guests are Goddesses of Rock and The Original Silver Bullet a Tribute to Bob Seger.

A multi-day event for the whole family in Junction City, KS

Saturday Freedom on Wheels begins at 9:30 am so bring your non-motorized wheeled vehicles and ride on Washington between 7th and 10th Street. At 10 am there will be a bike, car, and truck show! With many more performances and vendors, the carnival continues, with helicopter rides, and another night for the foam zone. Hells/Bells #1 AC/DC Tribute band will perform at 6:30 pm followed by Molly Hatchet at 8:30 pm!

Sunday begins with Worship in the Park at 9:30 am followed by the vendor area, foam zone, and more performances. The carnival opens for its last night at 5 pm, CrossPoint Worship will begin at 5:30 pm and the last musical guest, Jordan St. Cyr will start the show at 7 pm.
