If you are looking for a great way to spend an afternoon, look no further than Wamego City Park in Wamego, KS. The park offers a variety of activities for every member of the family throughout the year.

Springtime in the park welcomes you with thousands of blooming tulips and the yearly Tulip Festival. This event brings visitors and vendors from all over the area to the park.

The century-old Dutch Mill celebrates the history of the area and offers a visitors trip down memory lane. Built by a Dutch immigrant, it was originally used for grinding the local farmers' grains. The Mill stands today and is a favorite among those who visit to the park.

In July you will find that "Boomtown" earns its name! The week of July 4th provides a parade, carnival and ends with the best firework show in Kansas! If you want a spot come early, but for those looking to get right upfront, you can purchase tickets to the show! Thousands pack into this town and tune in their radios to celebrate this great nation!

In July, this town is known as "BOOMTOWN!"

The Veteran's Memorial is a very truly special spot in the Park. It offers those a place of remembrance and reflection within the park. The bronze statue, "Duty Called" reminds us all of the ultimate sacrifice as it faces the “The Wall of the Fallen”.

The new Wamego Aquatic Center is a great spot to cool off in the summertime! The city also has an indoor pool for those who are looking for additional options throughout the year!

Open year-round, you can enjoy the park's various playgrounds, basketball, and tennis courts. Enjoy a picnic in the park with a view overlooking the pond. You can also catch a quick train ride during festivals to explore the grounds even more!

During Christmas, the park transforms into a winter wonderland that you can drive through and enjoy the lights and sights of the season. Make an evening of it and enjoy both a drive through the park and a play at The Columbian Theater.

Enjoy a drive through the Wamego City Park.
