The Clay Center Veterans Memorial mural in Clay Center, KS is a representation of the iconic WWll photograph!

Clay Center Veterans Mural

The 'Clay Center Veterans Mural' was painted in 2020 by Whitney Kerr III, Elliott McAnany, and Chase Hunter.
Located at 701 4th Street this mural is a breathtaking rendition of the WWII image of six Marines planting the US flag at Mount Suribachi during the battle of Iwo Jima. The pole extending above the mural and roofline brings an unbelievable impact to the mural!

The mural had a dedication on Feb. 23rd, 2021 which was the 76th Anniversary of the original flag raising.
