Our first trip to Cynthia's was on our way home from the grocery store. It was one of those days when you have a car full of groceries but absolutely no energy to cook. As we were driving, we noticed a colorful food truck parked in Candlewood Shopping Center. My husband suggested we stop, and I agreed.
As we walked up to the truck the staff were quick to greet us and we started checking out the menu. As soon as I read "catfish" I knew what I was ordering, the catfish and shrimp meal, his with potato salad and fried corn, mine with potato salad and french fries! My husband decided we needed a little more variety so in addition to his catfish meal, he ordered wings. Due to a little mix-up, the staff also gave us a piece of cornbread and an order of cabbage.

1. The catfish and shrimp meal
A little secret about me, I love fried catfish! I hardly ever make it, because my mom's is so good, but I now have a replacement! This was some of the best catfish I have ever had. The shrimp were cooked to perfection and the potato salad had a great flavor
2. The cornbread
I could have eaten an entire dish of their cornbread! It was so good. Growing up we always added butter and honey to our cornbread, but this, I ate it without because it was perfect how it was!
3. The cabbage and fries
The side of cabbage wasn't something I was drawn to, but after trying a bite, it was the first thing I had devoured! You need to get an order of cabbage. The fries were crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and had a nice seasoning on them.
4. The wings
I am one of those boneless wing people, so when I eat a bone in wing, and eat the bone clean you know it is good. These were some of the best wings I have had in my life and most certainly in town!
