I know many people prefer to make reservations and enjoy a sit-down meal for Thanksgiving Day so I compiled a list of local restaurants hosting sit-down meals in Manhattan, KS, and the surrounding area.
These restaurants will range from the traditional to the non-traditional, so you are free to make the holiday yours! I update the list yearly, so you can always check the date written to be sure you have the most current information.
Happy Thanksgiving to you all!!!
A "Community Thanksgiving Meal" is sponsored by Common Table and Flint Hills Break Basket. This meal is completely free and will be held in Presby Place at the First Presbyterian Church at 801 Leavenworth beginning at 11 am. Everyone is welcome at this meal, it is first come, first served, as of now they scheduled the event until 2 pm, but it all depends on how many they serve. For more information on this, please see the Facebook event page here!
For those willing to take a little drive for a unique experience, the Lebold Mansion in Abilene will offer a Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday and Friday! Seating is VERY limited so you will want to contact them ASAP for all the details and confirm your reservation either on their website or their Facebook page. A donation of $45 per person is requested. Side note, a turkey buffet will be open to everyone on Friday afternoon for people and families who cannot afford a Thanksgiving dinner this year. Complete meals will be plated up afterward and delivered to local residents. If you or someone you know would like a meal, message Lebold Mansion for more details!
Tasty China House in Aggieville will be open and serving some non-traditional meals on Thanksgiving Day! To learn more, here is their Facebook page.
Globe Indian Food will host a Grand Buffet for both lunch and dinner, with a special turkey dish. To find additional information, check out their Facebook page.
Cracker Barrel in Junction City, KS will be open during their regular business hours on Thanksgiving Day. You can join their online waitlist to help shorten any potential wait times!
If you are looking for a variety, Applebee's is TBD whether they will be open or not on Thanksgiving Day. When I called, they said they would know by Friday the 22nd, so I will do my best to check back and update the post then.
If you find others, please feel free to comment below with the restaurant's name or link!
