Located in Aggieville, So Long Saloon's atmosphere is just an unique as their menu

If you ask me to name one of my go-to places in town, So Long Saloon is definitely on that list. They just nail it every single time! Their staff is always on the ball and constantly walking by to make sure you are taken care of and their food comes out consistently fast and always delicious. It is a place that I can honestly say that I have NEVER had a bad meal or bad experience at.

Today we went for a pre-Valentine's Day meal. With the weather creeping to negative temperatures tomorrow, potentially -20 degrees we didn't want to go anywhere unless we absolutely have to! It was a tough decision between So Long and their sister restaurant, Taco Lucha, but today So Long won!

These are the best fried pickles in town!

So Long Saloon has introduced us to so much, like how peanut butter is amazing on a hamburger, yes you read that right! Peanut butter on a hamburger is really good!

So Long Saloon has introduced us to so much, like how peanut butter is amazing on a hamburger, yes you read that right! Peanut butter on a hamburger is really good! They also make two of the best apps you can get with their fried pickles and the Chipotle Raspberry Black Bean dip. The black bean dip is what legends are made of. In fact, we make sure everyone who visits us tries it because it is that good! If you can't decide between the two get both, you won't regret it, if you have leftovers they both heat up well!

Today I ordered my favorite burger, the Crank It Up and Head South. It combines a green chili slab, pepper jack cheese, and chipotle mayo for the perfect amount of spice. Today I ordered it without a bun, sometimes sacrifices have to be made, but even without the bun, it was the best.

My husband chose to go with the daily special, The Big Country Burger. Holy crap it was huge, he made it halfway through. The enormous hamburger patty, BBQ pork, and bacon were piled high and was another hit right out of the park!

If you are looking for some lighter fare, don't worry, their salads are excellent as well. My favorite is the Cowboy Cobb, it is so big it is a salad you can share. When my mom and I go we order that and a hamburger, share both and call it a meal!

The other part that I love about So Long Saloon is the atmosphere, it is the perfect mix of eclectic charm and country music! Their unique menu somehow blends with the restaurant's vibe to totally round out the experience every time you go, seriously EVERY TIME. Trust me, you will thank me if you haven't stopped by and enjoyed a meal here! As always, let me know what you have especially if it is the Peanut Butter burger!
