Happy St. Patrick's Day!! It doesn't seem possible that we are more than halfway through March 2024, but nonetheless, it's time for everyone's favorite, St. Patrick's Day! This event was first held in 1978.
Our town celebrates St. Patrick's Day as many times as we can and you must join in the fun. The first celebration is mostly just the college students, it's called Fake Patty's Day. Fake Patty's Day is celebrated before the students leave for spring break. This made-up holiday creates a pretty wild weekend in Manhattan, and you will hear a lot about it before and for several days after!
Then it's the locals' turn and we pull out all the stops! Everyone heads to Aggieville in the morning for the St. Patrick's Day Parade and Road Race. When I tell you that Aggieville goes green on this day, it's true! Families, friends, and neighbors will kick things off with the road races that start at 10 am and 10:45 am on Saturday. If you want to join, you can sign up here for the 10K or 2mi!

After the races, at 1 pm it's time for the St. Patrick's Day Parade to start on Moro Street in Aggieville. The street will be lined with those same families, friends, and more to enjoy one of the largest parades of the year! So, get your candy bags ready, get on your green, and head to Aggieville to enjoy some fun in Manhattan, KS at the St. Patrick's Day Parade!
