Sugar Creek Country Store in St. Marys, KS is an Amish bulk food store and New York-style Deli!
While St. Marys might not be your first thought when you are wanting to stock your pantry, your fridge, purchase fun gift boxes or grab a great deli sandwich, let me tell you, It should be! On the way home from Topeka, KS the other day we decided to take the scenic route and head back to Manhattan, KS via HWY 24!
Located on the main street in St. Marys, Sugar Creek opened its doors in 2016 and has been wowing customers ever since. Sugar Creek Country Store is an Amish bulk food store and also has a New York-style deli for patrons to grab a quick lunch.
The bulk items include a variety of flours, sugars, oats, pectins, salt, candies, mixes, meats, cheeses and so very much more! Everything is weighed and placed in containers, it is an organizer's dream! You can also place your order online for easy pickup, which is awesome! Sugar Creek also carries several items from New York and Pennsylvania, my husband was excited to see items he had grown up with from New York's Amish Country!

If you have time to grab lunch, Deli sandwiches are SO good! I mean, every time they are perfect and so filling. Order your sandwich as a combo which includes a side and drink. One of their sides in the Maple Bacon potato salad, trust me, get this! It is seriously my favorite potato salad EVER. Sometimes we buy extra just to bring it home to have it through the week. If you have any room left, you can also enjoy dessert at their ice cream bar to make it a perfect meal!
Check-out is always a breeze and the staff is absolutely amazing! They are always helpful, cheerful, and polite. It is such a great place that you do truly have to experience! If you time it right you can also stop by Loretta's for some of her delicious baked goods and a meal, that is all made from scratch!
