The Manhattan, KS Veterans Day Parade is the longest Veterans Day Parade in the State of Kansas!
Veterans Day in Manhattan, KS is a day the entire community participates in. The events range from the Veterans Day Parade on Poyntz starting at 9:30 am. Additional events are held at Fort Riley, the American Legion, Eagles, and more. The Manhattan Veterans Day Parade is the longest Veterans Day Parade in the State of Kansas! Being so close to Fort Riley and having so many Veterans residing in our community we want to make sure that we honor all of them!
Being married to a Veteran, one of the things I love most about this town is how this town celebrates and honors all the brave men and women who have served our country. A fun fact that most people don't know is that Manhattan, KS is a popular place for servicemen and women to retire!
Most local businesses also open their doors to Veterans like Midwest Dream Car Collection will offer free admission to all Vets on November 11th from 10 am-6 pm. While most of the local restaurants do offer Veterans some type of meal or discount, here is a national list of discounts from www.military.com.
