One of my favorite places to shop in town is The Winged Lion. Whether you are looking for something special for a gift or yourself, this is a great place to shop. Ralph and his staff have a wonderful mix in the store. I have always found something I "needed" whether I am in the shop or watching one of the Facebook Live's.
I love the packaging at The Winged Lion. It is so fun and when you need a quick gift it is the perfect stop!
If you or someone you know is a foodie, The Winged Lion is where you want to go! The Worcestershire Sauce is divine and is sure to kick up any meal that you might use traditional Worcestershire sauce for. The Balsamic Vinegar is great for dipping bread or for finishing on salads. For those eagle-eyed readers, they also carry Bramasole Olive Oil. Yes, that Bramasole from the movie Under The Tuscan Sun! Let me tell you, it is to die for and the perfect olive oil in combination with the Balsamic Vinegar that they sell.
I have recently started using various salts when baking bread or finishing meals. It was a wonderful surprise to see such a wide selection locally. If you are curious about the various flavors of the salts and sugars they will assist you with sampling to make sure it is the right one for you! The Gunpowder is fabulous to finish a steak and just in time for grilling season!
The Winged Lion also features drink mixes, children's gifts, kitchenware, bowls, books and so much more. Recently, I picked up the new cheese knives and spreaders. We have always been partial to a Charcuterie Board whether we are putting together a spread for a party, or simply on a couple of Dixie plates for movie night! The spreaders make it just a little easier to serve and the best part, they store like books which is fabulous. The Kentuckyaki is a great marinade for chicken and steak, it has just the right amount of spice!
