Ingredients
  

  • 3/4 cup Shortening
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar (firmly packed)
  • 1/2 cup White Sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/4 cup Water
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 1 cup Sifted Flour
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Soda (baking soda)
  • 2 cups Oaker Oats (uncooked) Quak

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Best shortening, sugars, eggs, water, and vanilla together until creamy.
  • Sift together flour, salt, and soda: add ti creamed mixture.
  • If you are going to add in nuts, raisins, or chocolate chips, now is the time.
  • Bake in a 350 degree oven for 10-12 minutes. allow to cool completely.

Notes

Depending on big you make these cookies will depend on how many cookies you will get. For this recipe, my grandma just used a serving teaspoon and rounded it as you see in the video. Since each batch takes from 10-12 min to cook, time will vary for the recipe!
