Grandma's Forgotten Cookies
These light and airy meringue cookies are easy to make and best part, you literally put them in the oven and let them "bake."

Ingredients
2
egg whites
3/4
cup
granulated sugar
1
tsp
vanilla extract
1
cup
chocolate chips (semi-sweet or dark)
1
cup
chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts work great, optional)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to
350°F
(175°C).
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Using a stand mixer or hand mixer, beat the egg whites until stiff.
Add sugar, beating until the mixture is shiny and stiff peaks form.
Stir in vanilla, nuts, and chocolate chips.
Drop spoonfuls onto the prepared baking sheet.
Place the cookies in the oven,
turn it off
, and forget until oven is cool.
When oven is cool, remove cookies from cookie sheet.
